I Know My Brother's Secrets

I know my brother’s secrets,

the stuff he’ll never say,

the mysteries he’s hidden

and sequestered far away.

I’ve learnt his deepest terrors

and his innermost convictions,

plus all his ruminations

and emotional afflictions.

The person that he fancies

and the impish things he’s done –

I’ve got the juicy morsels

undisclosed to anyone.

My powers of detection

are unparalleled and clinical,

in gathering my knowledge

I believe I’ve reached the pinnacle

but since I’m not a psychic,

to get these precious kernels,

I had to infiltrate his room

and rifle through his journals.
